Soups for the Soul (Sessions 1 & 3)
Homemade soup is so satisfying and nourishing and can be full of vitamins and minerals. They are great to make ahead for busy weeks or freeze for dinner. In this demonstration style class, you will learn to prepare 4 new soups that are Whole30 and gluten-free. We will cover theories about best practices for homemade stock and will of course get to eat all of our creations! (Limited to 10 participants per session)
All Vegetables All the Time! (Sessions 2 & 4)
In this hands on class, we will work on chopping skills while preparing lots of different vegetables in some new and novel ways. We will be working with beets, carrots, celery, broccoli, fennel, cauliflower and whatever else I can find to up your veggie game. This class is Whole30 and can easily be gluten-free. (Limited to 10 participants per session)
Cheese Making (Sessions 1, 2, 3, 4)
You are a cheese maker! Sound impossible? Well, it’s not. It’s absolutely within reach of beginning and experienced cooks alike.
In this beginning series, local food writer and market chef Maggie Perkins will walk you through the processes of beginning cheese making. Learn the basic skills, tools, ingredients, and materials required to make cheese at home, and spend some hands-on time making your first batch in class– a versatile fresh ricotta you can use in dishes, spice up for parties, or hoard all for yourself. We won’t tell! (Limited to 6 participants per session)

Today essential oils can be found almost anywhere, yet many people don’t understand why they work or how to use them. So, we will discuss what essential oils are, why they work, and how to use them! Learn which oils are best for specific complaints like indigestion, headaches, sore muscles, insomnia, cuts and wounds, stress relief, and much more. Becky will bring oils so that you can experience their aromatic effect. If you have oils at home, feel free to bring them. This will be a fun, informative class! There is a startling rise in the number of individuals living with neurodegenerative disorders like Mild Cognitive IMpairment, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia. Whether you are “tired by wired” or already fully zapped (ex: high cortisol, low cortisol), this class will give you some great tools for rebuilding and re-balancing your body for a healthy stress response.
