Their chapel makes you feel like you traveled back in time to a place when the local church house was at the center of town. Old Glory Ranch is by far one of the best wedding venues in the Texas Hill Country and one of my favorites to shoot at. Everything there is just plain gorgeous! The massive chapel and hall are unlike any other venue I’ve seen. The space is huge but it also has a very warm and inviting feel. It’s not just the size either, the details are just as good! Little things like gorgeous, worn steel doors matched beautiful wood doors. All the groovy light light fixtures, the window details, all the way to the tables. It sounds silly but everything is as it should be. I can walk into countless venues (great venues!) and you can almost always pick out something that needs to be fixed, that is a little tattered or is just off somehow but not at Old Glory. It’s beautiful from a distance and up close! It really is a photographer’s dream to be able to shoot there.
A pretty building with equally amazing grounds is only half the story. What really makes me want to come back again and again is the staff. They are top flight. I have shoot literally hundreds of weddings and the people you surround yourself with on your wedding day is so important. You don’t want just good, competent people; you want awesome! You want people that are really, really good at what they do AND you want them to be really, really nice and caring while they are doing it. This what sets Old Glory apart from so many other venues out there; their incredible team. I can’t wait to go back soon!
